I've been gigging full time for more years than I should admit to, and have been pretty good at it. I contracted a lot for a number of years but have done it sporadically for the last 20 years. Contracting for me is not a big moneymaker...it's been more about helping good, deserving musicians get more and better work, raising the tenor of workplaces, and bringing people I like together from various circles.
